Happy Lunar New Year to all =D
To be frank,I personally loathe CNY.
I feel that CNY is just a festival for blood-related strangers to gather, and before its arrival, it is some kind of occasion that drains out all our energy while doing the spring cleaning.
Let me reinforce my statement,the above written is my OWN opinion,and I know many of yours may differ from mine.
During CNY's eve,...
After half day work,I had reunion dinner with my paternal relatives whom I am not at all close with.
I was practically quiet for the dinner except at times when my relatives asked me questions or when I talked to my mother.
The first day of CNY,...
Guess what?
I only visited one relative's house.
At night,under my persuasion,my parents and I went to the River Hong Bao at Marina Bay where every CNY there would be stalls selling food,decoration stuff and games available.

Second day of CNY,...
I stayed at home to do my Materials Technology inidividual report which is due this Friday (and not completed yet even after one whole day!!)
Neither did my parents went out to celebrate.
Furthermore,my father even went to work.
Third day of CNY,...
My paternal relatives came to my house after they went to my 2nd aunt's house.
Majority played poker cards,some chit chat,others watch tv,while I stayed in my room revising for Amazing Creatures exam.
I know I am damn anti-social,and that's what I hate about myself.
I wish to change,and even wanted to try talking to my cousins.
However,everytime when I see them I would remain distant and aloof.
Even when they tried to talk to me,my reply is always short and cold (*I do feel bad)
They stayed in my house for quite a while before they proceed on to visit other houses together with my parents.
I gave the excuse that I had to revise for my exam and stayed at home.
Even to those distant relatives or friends who visited my house,I would take the initiative to stay in the living room to entertain them,but this NEVER happens when it comes to my closely related paternal cousins.
Hence,my 2010 CNY resolution is to develop a genial character! =D
Oh ya,anyway,saying that I had to revise for my exam was not a lie.
This afternoon I really had my General Elective Module(GEM)-Amazing CreaturesAC) exam.
In comparison to the AC MST paper,this end of year exam was a cinch.
Although it was not that I knew all the correct answers,mostly I can do =D
Do you still remember the whitish dont know the name insects I mentioned in the last post?
I finally found out the name from SiMin.
They are called Silverfish/fish moth.
*LET ME WARN YOU FIRST.
If you are not afraid of insects,good for you.
If you are super duper scared of insects like me,do not continue reading,if not you would be thinking why am I living in this world?!!!!!!!!!!!!
Some background information about them:
Silverfish bugs earned their name from the silvery color of their scales and the fish-like movement it makes when they run.
Silverfish insects have been on planet earth for an estimated 300 million years. They are highly resilient bugs that are typically found in the northern hemisphere, primarily in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and other parts of Europe. They are a very common household pest that can be hard to eradicate.
Silverfish damage your home - Silverfish like to feed on the glue behind your wallpaper. If you let it go on for too long they can cause costly damage that will significantly lower the value of your home or cost you hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars in repairs.
Silverfish are most active at night - That means they can be crawling on you when you sleep! (So gross!) It happened to me once when I was reading in bed one night. It was the final straw and I knew I had to take action against them!
Silverfish eat your cereal - This is probably something you could have lived more comfortably without knowing.. These disgusting bugs can get into your cereal boxes and eat your cereal.
I hope you haven't poured yourself a bowl of morning cereal only to find that you have to REMOVE BUGS FROM IT before eating!!!
Here's the worst part... Even if you haven't actually SEEN them in your cereal, you might be eating the eggs they have laid in your cereal boxes!!!!
EWWWW!!!!!
Silverfish eat your plants - If you keep plants in your home they can cause damage to them too! Plant material is a common food source for silverfish.
Silverfish eat your clothes - Silverfish are also attracted to eating silk, synthetic fabrics and cotton clothing, so they may be crawling around in your clothes when you hang them in the closet. You won't be too happy when you put on shirt that has silverfish in it.
Silverfish are just plain embarrassing - Ever have company over for dinner? Do you feel shy and ashamed to let guests use your bathroom because you know they're going to see silverfish crawling on the walls and around the side of your toilet?
